Our Prenatal Class Instructors

Karrie is a mother of 2 and has been a a Maternal Health Nurse for 25 years.

Karrie Skillings, Maternal Health Nurse

She is a mother of 2 children and has previously worked in paediatrics at sick kids in Toronto. Karrie has been teaching prenatal classes for public health for several years and has now joined with The WOMB to infuse a traditional prenatal curriculum with the soulful and holistic philosophy of Birthing from Within. Her approach to birth and parenting preparation integrates experiential exercises, hands on learning and focused discussion.

Lana is a mother of 3 and a birth doula who has been present for over 20 births.

I’m Lana and I am a birth doula, lactation educator, and mother to three beautiful children. Helping new moms has been my passion for over a decade. I believe that every woman or birthing person deserves to be fully supported while they are giving birth because giving birth is hard enough on its own!
