A sacred safe space for women who have experienced pregnancy loss

Together we will hold space for one another, sharing about our journey after loss.  We will support each other as we talk about feelings that show up such as guilt, shame, grief, blame, doubt, pain, withdrawal, emptiness etc.  We will end each circle with a ritual or meditation to help heal and renew ourselves.

*For clients who have experienced infant loss we have individually tailored support available at any time, please reach out by email hello@thewombwoodstock.ca or phone 519-539-9944.

Hosted by

Hendrike Isert Bender MSW, RSW, Registered Social Worker

Hendrike is a registered Social Worker with 20+ years of therapeutic experience.  She has worked in several community agencies as well as in medical social work.  She is a wife and mother of 4 children and has a passion for the complexity of life; especially the years of growing and nurturing self while caring for others.

Hendrike has a special interest in maternal mental health and training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She hopes to support, guide and skillfully find the appropriate therapeutic approach to address the emotional challenges of parenthood.  She is deeply aware that not every woman who wants to become a mother will do so with ease. This stage in life can hold much pain and loss. Hendrike wants to hold space for families experiencing infertility, pregnancy or infant loss.

As a client centered therapist she uses a variety of evidence based frameworks and will work with finding the best approach for each client.  She offers individual and couples therapy as well as psycho-educational and therapeutic groups.  As a registered Social Worker her support may be covered by extended health benefits.
